Ras Imru had grown up in the Jamaican parish Westmoreland, before coming to London in his mid-teens.
In England, Rastafarianism and Music became increasingly important to him, and i followed his first couple of singles with further worthwhile disc, all imbued with an intense spirituality.
Amongs these were the oustanding "Fourth Generation" on Maccabee's, an "Marshall", one of the first releases on Jah Shaka's label.
After 40 years from the first pressing, finally this UK reggae anthem is out with the label House Of Asha.
